Cherry-Lime Treat

I've been craving tart cold foods now that Mother Nature has decided we need a good long hot dose of early summer.  One of my favorite recent creations came when I was digging around in the kitchen looking for ways to satisfy my tart-tooth.

For this super-delish recipe you only need a few ingredients and just a little bit of time.  It's a win/win!

Ingredients:
1 cup frozen cherries (or raspberries or strawberries, or whatever fruit you've got in the freezer)
1/2 large banana (I like to keep banana slices in the freezer, but non-frozen ones will work, too.  Your treat just won't be as frozen if bananas are at room temp)
Juice of 1 - 2 limes (depending of the size/juiciness of the limes)
1-2 Tablespoons of water

Place frozen fruit, banana and lime juice in blender or immersion cup.  Add just a little bit of water at a time as you blend to create very thick milkshake consistency.  Pour into favorite cup and enjoy with a spoon, or spoon into popsicle molds and freeze!
